Who Is Ripple?

Our Vision and Mission

Our vision – to empower families to gain financial freedom and not be dependent on public assistance.

Our mission – to walk beside our participants, taking each step with them on their journey to independence.  We believe that people with the right support and direction can move beyond dependence to a life of financial freedom.

Our Recipe for Success

Ripple of One combines mentoring and incentives.   Each participant is provided a support team (mentor and financial coach) to guide them on their journey.  They earn incentives along the way for reaching small and significant goals.

The children have programs that encourage them to reach higher and learn healthy habits.

Our History

Stephanie Enders founded Ripple of One in 2010 after a brainstorming session with David McCutcheon, Director of United Way Oconee County, with insight she had gained through 15 years of volunteering in homeless shelters, and 5 years of mentoring under Sandra Pruitt in the Family Friends Program.

Stephanie had a vision to incentivize struggling families to move beyond government assistance.

Her opportunities to mentor low income families allowed her to see common threads that keep our families tied to assistance.

The “ingredients” that make the Ripple of One “recipe” include mentoring and incentives that allow our families to build relationships, trust, and the courage to pursue financial independence.
