Heather Hamby is a Care Specialist at Ripple of One, with more than 15 years of experience supporting children and families as a Mental Health Counselor. With a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Heather has dedicated her career to helping individuals navigate challenges, recognize their strengths, and build the confidence and stability needed to create lasting change.
Heather’s connection to Ripple’s mission is also deeply personal. As a former young single mother, she understands firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate complex systems while working to create a better future for your family. That experience shapes the compassion she brings to her role and her commitment to ensuring every participant feels seen, valued, and supported as an individual—not simply as a number. Heather believes she was called to Ripple of One to walk alongside families as they overcome barriers, discover their potential, and work toward greater independence.
Born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina, Heather still calls the community home with her husband. Together, they have five grown children and a granddaughter who brings tremendous joy to their family. Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, bowling, and being outdoors—anything that helps her recharge and stay connected to the people she loves.
