Xavier Smith joined Ripple of One as a Care Specialist in May 2026, serving participants in Oconee County. In his role, Xavier walks alongside participants as they work to move beyond dependence on public assistance and toward long-term financial independence and self-sufficiency. As a consistent guide and accountability partner throughout the program, he helps participants navigate challenges, recognize their strengths, and continue moving toward their goals.
Before joining Ripple, Xavier spent five years as a Lead Intervention Specialist with the Upstate Fatherhood Coalition, working with fathers and families navigating financial instability, co-parenting challenges, legal and employment barriers, and the emotional complexities of rebuilding stability. His work focused on helping fathers develop practical life skills, strengthen financial responsibility, and build healthier relationships with their children. Xavier also brings experience in case management, peer support, budgeting, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and Mental Health First Aid for both adults and youth. At Ripple, he hopes to foster strong, productive relationships among participants, mentors, and Financial Coaches so each person has a connected network of support throughout their journey.
Outside of work, Xavier enjoys spending time with his wife and stepson, reading, working out, hiking, hunting, traveling, trying new foods, and attending church. He also journals, writes poetry, and makes spending time in nature part of his daily life.
