Mentoring & Incentives

Mentors Inspire

Thousands of single parents and young adults have no support system and become stuck in the cycle of desperation. It can be nearly impossible to earn enough to get the other side of public assistance.

Ripple mentors become that support.  They help each client chart their unique course to economic independence.  Recognizing the need to develop a new mindset and new skill sets, mentors help guide our clients and their children through the program, along with their financial coach and parent support team.

Incentives to Reach Higher

Many times when a parent earns an income raise — they actually make less income because their rent and food assistance are cut off. They quickly realize there is NO incentive to strive to do better.

The Ripple of One team motivates and inspires by providing INCENTIVES for reaching small and large goals throughout the 2 year program.

Monthly Rewards

When the participant reaches a goal in education, health or job progress…monthly rewards are given to motivate them to move up to the next step.

  •  A night to breathe: dinner and/or movie night

  • Pamper day: manicure or pedicure and haircut

  • Family outing and special treats for children

Savings Match

If you are in a low income bracket, it is very difficult to build an emergency savings account. Ripple matches the participants saving up to $200 every month for this purpose. The children can earn up to $100 every month. We hope this helps build savings toward higher educations when they graduate high school.

Paid Internships

Participants take an assessment to determine what field of work is best for their path. Ripple provides the opportunity to work in their chosen field through paid internships. This helps grow job skills and build their resume.

Earnings Program For ChildreN

Children are given multiple opportunities throughout each month to earn money that goes into their savings account.
